उत्तर
In the poem “Animals,” Walt Whitman compares animals to humans and shows how they differ. He believes animals are better than people in many ways. Animals do not complain about their lives and seem happier and more peaceful. They live close to nature and accept it as it is.
Humans, however, are rarely satisfied. They complain, try to change everything, and often feel unhappy. According to the poet, animals possess qualities such as calmness, honesty, and freedom from greed. They do not feel guilty for sins or cry about their problems. They also do not trouble others by talking about their duties to God. The poet feels that humans have lost these simple and good qualities. He wishes people could learn from animals and live more peaceful, content lives.
