उत्तर

Step 1: Dimensions of each napkin

  • The original square cloth has a side length of 1 m.
  • Since the cloth is divided into 4 equal smaller squares, each napkin will have a side length:

Side length of each napkin = `(1 m)/2 = 0.5 m`

Step 2: Perimeter of one napkin

The perimeter of a square is given by:

P = 4 × Side length

For one napkin:

P = 4 × 0.5 = 2m

Step 3: Total lace required

Since there are 4 napkins, the total lace required is:

Total lace = 4 × 2 = 8m

The total length of lace required to trim all four sides of all the napkins is 8 meters.
