उत्तर
In football, a free kick is used to resume play following a foul or incident. There are two kinds of free kicks:
- Direct Free Kick: This allows the kicker to score immediately without the ball coming into contact with another player. It is given for major offences such as handball or dangerous fouls.
- Indirect Free Kick: The ball must touch another player before a goal may be scored. It is given for less serious offences, such as obstruction or the custodian handling the ball incorrectly.
The team taking the free kick must set the ball at the site of the foul, and the opposing players must remain at least 10 yards (9.15 meters) away from the ball until it is kicked.
