उत्तर

We know that,

Area of triangle = `1/2` × base × height

∴ Area of triangle, ΔBCD = `1/2` × DC × BC

= `1/2 xx 10 xx 10`

= 50 cm2

If a triangle and parallelogram are drawn on the same base and between the same parallel lines, then the area of the triangle is half of the area of the parallelogram.

Since, ΔBCD and || gm BDPQ are on same base BD and between same parallels DB and PQ.

∴ Area of parallelogram BDPQ = 2 × Area of ΔBCD

= 2 × 50

= 100 cm2
