उत्तर
At first, we see the ball hitting the bat and then we hear the sound of hitting because light (3 × 108 m/s) travels faster than sound (340 m/s) in air.
Therefore, we hear the sound of hitting a little later than we see it.

Establish the relationship between the speed of sound, its wavelength and frequency. If the velocity of sound in air is 340 m s–1, calculate
(i) wavelength when the frequency is 256 Hz.
(ii) frequency when the wavelength is 0.85 m
Assertion: The speed of sound in air is less than the speed of sound in solid.
Reason: If we increase the temperature of medium, the speed of sound increases in any medium.
