उत्तर
Cost of 40 articles = Rs.54400
∴ Cost of each article
= Rs. `(54400)/(40)`
= Rs.1360
Cost of finishing of one article = Rs.140
∴ C.P. of finished article
= Rs.1360 + Rs.140
= Rs.1500
∴ C.P. of 40 finished articles
= Rs.1500 x 40
= Rs.60000
S.P. of one-fourth articles
= `(1)/(4) xx 40 xx "Rs".2100`
S.P. of rest of articles
= `(3)/(4) xx 40 xx "Rs".1800`
∴ Total S.P.
= `(1)/(4) xx 40 xx "Rs".2100 + (3)/(4) xx 40 xx "Rs".1800`
= Rs.21000 + Rs.54000
= Rs.75000
Profit
= S.P. - C.P.
= Rs.75000 - Rs.60000
= Rs.15000
∴ Profit %
= `"Profit"/"C.P." xx 100`
= `(15000)/(60000) xx 100`
= 25%.
