उत्तर

Total number of cards = 17

Let  E1 be the event of choosing an odd number.

These numbers are 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17.

∴ P(getting an odd number) = P(E1) = `("Number of outcomes favourable to "E_1)/"Number of all possible outcome"`

Thus, the probability that the card drawn bears an odd number is `9/17`.
