Bing Crosby was born on 3^rd May 1903, as Harry Lillis Crosby, Jr., in Tacoma, Washington. Crosby studied law at Gonzaga University in Spokane but was more interested in playing the drums and singing with a local band. He loved playing music on the phonograph, especially AL Jolson’s work. He earned his famous nickname around the age of 7, “Bing” from a comic strip he adored, “The Bingville Bugle.” Bing Crosby was not only a great singer but also an actor.
