उत्तर
SOLITUDE
Solitude, the state of being alone, elicits varied reactions from individuals. Some people cherish this state while others dislike the experience. Each person has their own opinion about solitude.
As we are aware, man is a social animal. Therefore, being in complete and total solitude at all times is not possible. We all have family members, friends, colleagues, and neighbours we talk to so we can sail smoothly through our day. Whether we like it or not, some amount of human interaction will take place every day.
Some people enjoy others’ company and like to talk and mingle to share their feelings, whether joys or sorrows. Solitude becomes a burden to such people, as they don’t know what to do in their solitude. This situation is not always desirable. People like teachers, doctors, lawyers, actors, and athletes need others for their professional work, as they cannot function in solitude.
On the other hand, some people loathe company and prefer being alone. These people do not like to talk to others about their feelings and feel pressured or stressed when there are too many people around. Scientists, philosophers, writers, sages, and monks often prefer solitude. They like to think and do their work in peace.
It is often argued that some solitude is necessary for our brains to rewire and think clearly. Solitude also helps us know ourselves better. Many people misinterpret solitude, believing that they must always be with others. If you are always spending time with others, you usually do what they want or do something that interests you. You may learn things that you enjoy doing, playing a sport, singing, cooking, but you never really learn about your inner thoughts.
In fact, solitude helps you believe in yourself and become independent. If you are always dependent on other people, you will not be able to deal with life’s changes and problems. Solitude helps you rely on yourself and utilise your independent capabilities.
