Respected judges, teachers and my dear friends, 

Today, I am here to give a speech about ‘The role of science in the nation's progress’. You are aware of the infinite mysteries of science. There is nothing in our world that is not inspired by science. It includes all of the joys, conveniences, pleasures, and necessities that we need for the advancement of all people and all countries.

Our lives are made simple, comfortable, and easy by science. Because of scientific advancements, we now live longer and in better health. Due to several medical advancements and innovations, man is now safer, more secure, and older. Numerous devices, tools, equipment, etc., have been made possible by science to save man's time and effort. We are more efficient and have faster communications thanks to computers, cell phones, the Internet, and television.

However, we must recognise that these new scientific innovations and discoveries should be applied to advance peace. Only then can it be referred to as a blessing for humanity. This blessing could become a terrible curse if we abuse it.
