Kabir: was a disciple of Guru Ramananda. He was brought up by a Muslim weaver, Neeru, and his wife Neema. Kabir’s teachings (Dohe) are recorded in ‘Bijak’ (the seed book), which gives great messages to the people; the followers of Kabir are called ‘Kabir-Panthis’.
