Radioactive pollution occurs when harmful radioactive materials are released into the environment, contaminating the air, water, and soil. As these radioactive elements decay, they emit dangerous high-energy radiation that easily penetrates biological tissues. Consequently, exposure to this radiation poses severe health risks to living organisms, leading to widespread tissue destruction, various forms of cancer such as bone cancer, and permanent genetic mutations that can be tragically passed down to successive generations.
