I am deeply concerned about road safety, particularly regarding the increasing volume of traffic and the frequent disregard for basic traffic rules. My primary concerns are the high number of accidents caused by reckless driving, speeding, and the lack of proper lane discipline, which makes travelling on busy roads feel stressful and dangerous for pedestrians and drivers alike. To make road travel safer and more enjoyable, I believe we must strictly enforce traffic laws, such as speed limits and the use of helmets and seat belts, and improve road infrastructure by providing better lighting and clearly marked pedestrian crossings. Furthermore, fostering a culture of patience and mutual respect among road users, in which everyone prioritises collective safety over individual speed, would significantly reduce anxiety and help transform daily commutes into calmer, more predictable experiences.
