- The Sarpanch leads meetings, implements development schemes, and oversees village administration.
- Elections are held every five years. In the Sarpanch’s absence, the Deputy Sarpanch takes charge.
- A Secretary, appointed by the government, handles administrative duties.
- If the Sarpanch fails in duties, a no-confidence motion can be passed by members.
- The Gram Panchayat functions under the Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad.
