उत्तर

  1. The Anglo-French Policy of Appeasement reached its peak at the Munich Conference in 1938. It was also Hitler’s biggest diplomatic win.
  2. At this meeting, Britain, France, Germany, and Italy decided to let Hitler take over the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia. German-speaking people inhabited the Sudetenland, and Czechoslovakia had no say in the decision.
  3. French and British leaders thought that giving in to Hitler’s requests would keep the war from getting worse. But this move to make peace made Hitler even more confident. Hitler broke the Munich Pact by taking over the rest of Czechoslovakia just six months later.
  4. In this way, the Munich Conference showed that appeasement didn’t work and that Britain and France weren’t strong enough to stand up to aggression. This led to more Nazi growth and the start of the Second World War.
