उत्तर
The tenure of the members of the Lok Sabha is five years if the Lok Sabha is not dissolved earlier. When a Proclamation of Emergency is in operation, the life of the House may be extended by no more than one year at a time. In the case of the Rajya Sabha, one-third of its members retire at the end of every second year. So in effect, the term of the members of the Rajya Sabha is 6 years.
