उत्तर

Places in the torrid zones are hotter than places in other zones because the Sun’s rays strike these areas more directly and at a higher angle throughout the year. This results in concentrated solar energy over a smaller surface area, and hence more intense heating. In contrast, places in temperate and frigid zones receive slanting rays that spread over a larger area and travel through more atmosphere, losing heat. Therefore, the torrid zone, which lies between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn with the Equator in the center, experiences consistently high temperatures due to direct and concentrated sunlight almost all year round.
