Why the jet aircrafts do not fly in the troposphere?

उत्तर
Jet aircraft do not fly in the troposphere mainly because this layer is characterized by turbulent weather conditions and a decrease in temperature with height, which causes instability and air turbulence. The troposphere has most of the Earth’s weather phenomena, such as clouds, rain, storms, and wind, making flying conditions less smooth and potentially hazardous.
In contrast, the lower stratosphere, which lies above the troposphere, is much calmer, with stable and dry air, no turbulence, and a slow increase in temperature with height due to the ozone layer absorbing ultraviolet radiation. This makes the stratosphere an ideal cruising altitude for jet aircraft, allowing smoother and safer flights with less atmospheric disturbance.
Therefore, jet aircraft fly in the stratosphere instead of the troposphere to avoid the turbulence and adverse weather conditions common in the troposphere.
