उत्तर

Reasons for the break-up of the Bahamani Kingdom:

  • Religious intolerance weakened unity in the kingdom.
  • Constant wars with neighbouring kingdoms exhausted the state.
  • The rulers adopted a pleasure-seeking lifestyle and neglected administration.
  • There were frequent quarrels between the Deccani and Irani (foreign) nobles.
  • Later Bahamani rulers were weak and incompetent.
  • After the death of Mahmud Gawan, there were no able ministers to control the administration.
  • As a result, the Bahamani kingdom disintegrated into five independent states, Bijapur, Golkunda, Ahmednagar, Berar, and Bidar.
  • These states were later conquered by the Mughal Empire.
