उत्तर

Arteries

Veins carry deoxygenated blood (except pulmonary vein) from various parts of the body to the heart. The blood in veins flows with less pressure. Therefore, veins have valves to prevent the backflow of blood. The arteries carry blood from the heart to the other body parts. The blood in arteries flow at high pressure and so the blood flows only in one direction. So, arteries do not require valves as the chances of backflow are less. The heart has valves between the atria and ventricles. They prevent the backflow of blood from the ventricles to the atria.
