उत्तर

Given: Initial potential difference (V1) = 110 V

Initial current (I1) = 5 A

New potential difference (V2) = 220 V

Assuming the resistance R of the heater remains constant, by Ohm’s law:

V = IR

⇒ R = `V/I`

⇒ R = `V_1/I_1`

= `110/5`

= 22 Ω

Now, find the new current I2 when V2 = 220 V,

I2 = `V_2/R`

= `220/22`

= 10 A

∴ The current flowing through the heater when the potential difference is increased to 220 V will be 10 A.
