उत्तर
Thermal metamorphism is the process where rocks undergo chemical changes due to exposure to high temperature. This causes the minerals in the rocks to melt, recrystallise, and reorganise into new minerals, resulting in a different structure and properties. It includes contact metamorphism (from direct contact with hot magma or lava) and regional metamorphism (due to high temperature and pressure inside the earth).
