उत्तर

Self-serving bias is the tendency for people to attribute their successes to internal factors (like ability or effort) and their failures to external factors (like bad luck or difficult circumstances).

Example:

Imagine a student who gets good marks in an exam. They might say, “I’m intelligent” or “I worked really hard.” But if they get poor marks, they might say, “The exam was unfair” or “The teacher didn’t explain it well.”

This bias allows people to feel good about themselves by accepting praise for success and avoiding blame for failure.
