The President summons each House of Parliament to conduct its business. Members of parliament meet, pass bills and discuss the affairs of the state. These are known as parliamentary sessions. There are three parliamentary sessions—Budget Session (February–May), Monsoon Session (July–August) and Winter Session (November–December).
