Haemoglobin is the main respiratory pigment present in RBC that binds O2. Haemoglobin comprises 4 sub units each containing an Fe atom bound to haem group.
Haemoglobin deficiency leads to Anemia.
If Haemoglobin is less, oxygen carrying capacity of blood decreases and results in fatigue, loss in weight, problems in conception etc.
