उत्तर

Constitutions can be categorised as either rigid or flexible based on the type of amendment procedures they use. A constitution that is easily amendable is said to be flexible. A flexible constitution, according to many political scientists, is one that allows for amendments in the same manner as the legislature makes regular laws. Constitutional amendments can be passed by the legislature in the same way that regular laws can be passed or repealed.

One of the best examples of a flexible constitution is Britain. Any law, whether ordinary or constitutional, can be made, repealed, or amended by the British Parliament, which is a sovereign body. A simple majority can accomplish this. The same legislative process, i.e., a simple majority, is used to adopt laws intended to amend either ordinary or constitutional laws. Statutory and constitutional laws are equivalent. The British Constitution is therefore a flexible one. In a similar vein, a constitution is said to be flexible if it is easy to update and make changes to.
