उत्तर १

Drip irrigation is an advanced and efficient method of irrigation where water is supplied directly to the roots of plants through thin pipes buried along the furrows. This method conserves water by minimizing wastage through seepage or evaporation, allows precise control of water amount and timing, and reduces soil erosion and leaching.

उत्तर २

Drip irrigation, also known as trickle irrigation, is an advanced micro-irrigation method that feeds water directly to plant roots, drop by drop. Water is distributed by a pressurised network of plastic pipes, tubing, and small devices known as emitters, which discharge water at a highly controlled, slow pace directly at the base of each plant. This precise distribution method essentially reduces water waste from surface runoff, deep soil percolation, and air evaporation. As a result, it is the most effective irrigation system available, saving water by more than 90%. It is good for dry locations, rocky or uneven terrains with difficult land levelling, and for producing high-value row crops, orchards, and vegetables.
