What is dark reaction in photosynthesis?

It is the second phase of photosynthesis in which CO2 is fixed or reduced to glucose. It takes place in stroma of chloroplast. The reactions take place independent of light hence it is known as dark reaction.
It is also known as ‘Blackman’s reaction’, ‘Calvin cycle’ or C3 pathway.
