उत्तर
The nuclear envelope bounds the nucleus from the outside and separates it from the cytoplasm. It consists of two membranes, the outer membrane continuous with the endoplasmic reticulum. The nuclear envelope is interrupted by minute nuclear pores at several places, which are produced by the fusion of its two membranes.
