उत्तर
Those resistors or electrical devices which do not obey Ohm's Law are called non-ohmic resistances. For these devices, the ratio of potential difference (V) to current (I) is not constant, and their V-I graph is a curved line instead of a straight line.
Two Standard Examples:
- Semiconductor Diode/LED: Its resistance changes drastically depending on the direction and amount of voltage applied.
- Filament of a Vacuum Tube or Torch Bulb: As the current increases, the filament heats up, causing its resistance to increase sharply rather than staying constant.
