उत्तर
Helium (He), neon (Ne), argon (Ar), krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe), and radon (Rn) make up group 18 of the periodic table. Under normal circumstances, none of these gases exhibit any chemical reactivity because they are all monoatomic. As a result, these elements were formerly known as inert gases. It was discovered later in 1962 and later that certain elements actually have some chemical reactivity and can combine to make certain compounds under very particular circumstances. Therefore, these gases are now known as noble gases.
