Using factor theorem, show that (x – 5) is a factor of the polynomial
2x3 – 5x2 – 28x + 15

उत्तर
p(x) = 2x3 – 5x2 – 28x + 15
x – 5 is a factor
p(5) = 2(5)3 – 5(5)2 – 28(5) + 15
= 250 – 125 – 140 + 15
= 265 – 265
= 0
∴ (x – 5) is a factor of p(x)
