उत्तर

  1. Cassius fears that Caesar may remain at home and therefore escape the assassination. This fear arises because Caesar has recently become superstitious and is frightened by the unnatural events and omens. Decius says that he can overcome Caesar’s hesitation by flattering him and interpreting Calpurnia’s dream favourably. He promises to bring Caesar to the Capitol.
  2. The person is Cicero. He is not suitable because he was not involved in the conspiracy from the beginning and may not understand or support their plan. Brutus rejects the proposal to include him.
  3. Brutus advises the conspirators to look cheerful and calm and not to reveal their purpose through their expressions. He shows affection towards Lucius by allowing him to sleep peacefully and speaking to him tenderly as a caring master.
  4. Ligarius enters the scene. He is not described as anyone’s daughter; he is a Roman nobleman and an admirer of Brutus.
  5. Ligarius tells Brutus that he has risen from his sick bed to follow him in his enterprise. He says that he is ready to undertake whatever Brutus commands.
