उत्तर
The Himalayan region has very little irrigation, even though there are many big rivers, because the land is mostly mountainous and uneven, so there is very little flat land for farming. The rivers here flow very fast down steep slopes and through deep valleys, which makes it hard and costly to build canals or use the water for irrigation. So, even though there is plenty of water, the land and river conditions make irrigation difficult.
