उत्तर
List the price = Rs.4000
Case 1 :
S.P. = `(1 - "d"/100)` of M.P.(List price)
⇒ S.P. = `(1 - 25/100) xx 4000`
⇒ S.P. = `(75)/(100) xx 4000`
⇒ S.P. = Rs.3000
Case 2 :
S.P. = `(1 - "d"_1/100)(1 - "d"_2/100)` of M.P.
S.P. = `(1 - 15/100)(1 - 12/100) xx 4000`
⇒ S.P. = `(85)/(100) xx (88)/(100) xx 4000`
⇒ S.P. = Rs.2992
Since in the second case the S.P. is lesser, so the second offer is better.
The amount paid in the second offer is Rs.2292.
