उत्तर
Let the interest received by Karim be ₹ x and then the interest received by Ramesh will be ₹ (x – 30).
So, the interest received by both will be ₹ (x + x – 30).
According to the question,
x + x – 30 = 70
⇒ 2x = 70 + 30 ...[Transposing (–30) to RHS]
⇒ 2x = 100
⇒ x = ₹ 50 ...[Dividing both sides by 2]
So, the interest received by Ramesh = ₹ (x – 30) = ₹ (50 – 30) = ₹ 20.
