उत्तर
C.P. of 12 pens = S.P. of 15 pens = Rs. 100 (suppose)
∴ C.P. of 1 pen =`100/12` = Rs. 8.33
and S.P. of 1 pen = `100/15` = Rs. 6.67
∴ Loss = C.P. - S.P.
= Rs. 8.33 - Rs. 6.67
= Rs. 1.67
Loss % =`("Loss" xx 100)/"C.P."`
`= (1.67 xx 100)/8.33`
`= (166 xx 100 xx 100)/(100 xx 833)`
= 19.93 %
