उत्तर

The Buddha’s teaching remains highly relevant today because it addresses the universality of loss. While modern therapy provides practical tools to cope with the emotional pain of grief, the Buddha’s wisdom offers a philosophical shift:

  • Connection: By realising that grief is a shared human experience, we feel less isolated.
  • Acceptance: The Buddha teaches us to accept impermanence rather than fighting it, which helps release the ‘clinging’ that deepens suffering.
  • Perspective: Rather than trying to ‘fix’ grief, his teaching helps us transform it into wisdom and compassion.

Ultimately, we haven't found a ‘better’ way; we have found complementary ways. Therapy helps us manage the psychological process, while the Buddha’s teachings provide the foundational peace to accept the reality of life and death.
