In my region, Delhi, the main renewable resources are solar energy, wind energy, and biomass. Solar energy has increased due to government support, but its use is still limited by high installation costs and lack of space. Wind energy is less developed because Delhi’s flat landscape is not very suitable for it, while biomass remains underused due to poor waste management. Delhi is trying to expand renewable energy through rooftop solar panels and projects such as a 1,000 MW solar plant and a 111 MW wind power plant.

The status of these resources has been affected by rapid urbanisation and increasing energy demand. Solar power is growing, but pollution and limited space create challenges. Wind energy has seen little progress, and biomass is still largely untapped. To improve the situation, Delhi needs stronger policies for solar energy, better waste-to-energy systems, and urban planning that supports renewable energy.
