उत्तर

The resources mainly undergoing depletion are non-renewable resources, especially petroleum and natural gas, because most cars use petrol or diesel. The increasing number of cars also leads to:

  • Greater consumption of fossil fuels.
  • Faster depletion of limited petroleum reserves.
  • More air pollution.
  • Higher emissions of greenhouse gases.
  • Increased pressure on roads and urban land

The rapid increase in cars causes depletion of non-renewable energy resources and also creates serious environmental problems. Therefore, public transport, electric vehicles and cleaner fuels should be encouraged.
