उत्तर
Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) is a psychological condition in which an individual exhibits two or more distinct and separate identities or personality states. Each identity may have its own name, history, behavior, and way of interacting with the world. These identities often take turns controlling the person’s behavior.
DID is usually a result of severe trauma or abuse during early childhood, where dissociation becomes a coping mechanism. Individuals with DID also experience memory gaps that cannot be explained by normal forgetfulness, especially regarding personal information and traumatic events.
