Substitute the value of x in equation (2)
`63((137 - 63y)/37) + 37y = 163`
`(8631 - 3969y)/37 + (37y)/1 = 163`
`(8631 - 3969y + 1369y)/37 = 163`
8631 – 2600y = 6031
8631 – 6031 = 2600y
2600 = 2600у
y = `2600/2600`
y = 1
From equation (3)
x = `(137 - 63 xx 1)/37`
x = `(137 - 63)/37`
x = `74/37`
x = 2
∴ x = 2, y = 1
