Contrapositive Method The contrapositive statement of ‘p’ is
“For any real numbers x, y if 2x + a ≠ 2y + a
Where a ∈ Z, then x ≠ y.
Given 2x + a ≠ 2y + a
⇒ 2x ≠ 2y
⇒ x ≠ y
