2. Nana is traditional, authoritative and conservative in her outlook. She strongly believes in the conventional roles assigned to women. However, she also cares for Adjoa and wants what she believes is best for her.
3. No, Maami did not share Nana’s views. She believed that education was important for girls and supported Adjoa’s schooling. This difference shows the contrast between the traditional and more progressive generations.
4. No, Adjoa’s mother was not able to receive the education she wanted. She regretted not having had the opportunity to continue her education. This is why she wanted Adjoa to receive a good education.
