उत्तर

Prospero comes across as a caring father who takes immense pride in her upbringiilg. He loves his daughter deeply and calls her a rich gift that he is giving to Ferdinand. He also does not want her to be hurt. He is extra cautious that Ferdinand does not take undue advantage of her and strictly warns him of the dire consequences if that happens.

Prospero is a master magician, as proved by the fabulous masque he conjured up with the help of Ariel. It requires high magical skill to incorporate supernatural elements into such an extravagant show. He is also proud of his skills and wants to show off.

The philosophical side of the master magician comes to the fore when he explains the sudden disappearance of the masque. He tells Ferdinand, real life is also similar to all things, “the cloudcapped towers, the gorgeous palaces, the solemn temples, the globe itself” are transient and “we are such stuff as dreams are made on”.

Prospero can get extremely angry, as seen in his treatment of the three rogues towards the end of the scene.
