LHS = cot2 θ − cos2 θ
= `cos^2θ/sin^2θ - cos^2θ`
= `cos^2θ(1/(sin^2θ) - 1)`
= `cos^2θ((1- sin^2θ)/sin^2θ)`
∴`cos^2θ/sin^2θ.cos^2θ = cot^2 θ.cos^2θ`
∴ LHS = RHS
