उत्तर
Project: Sports Facilities in My District
District: ______
Name: ______
Date of survey: ______
1. Aim
To identify the sports facilities available in the district, assess their condition and accessibility, and suggest ways to share them effectively among schools and community members.
2. Method of collecting information
Visit or contact nearby schools, sports grounds, stadiums, community centres and sports clubs. Speak with physical education teachers, coaches, administrators and users. Record the information below; do not assume that a facility is available or in good condition without checking it.
3. Facility survey
| Facility or resource | Location and games supported | Condition and equipment | Who can currently use it? | Main gap or concern |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| School playgrounds | ______ | ______ | ______ | ______ |
| Public grounds or parks | ______ | ______ | ______ | ______ |
| Indoor sports halls | ______ | ______ | ______ | ______ |
| Courts, tracks or swimming facilities | ______ | ______ | ______ | ______ |
| Sports equipment | ______ | ______ | ______ | ______ |
| Coaches and physical education teachers | ______ | ______ | ______ | ______ |
| Sports clubs, institutions or hostels | ______ | ______ | ______ | ______ |
4. Status and critical analysis
Summarise what the survey shows:
- Availability: Which facilities and sports are well provided for? Which are missing or limited?
- Condition and safety: Are the grounds, buildings and equipment usable, safe and maintained?
- Access: Can girls, younger children, persons with disabilities and people from different neighbourhoods use the facilities? Are fees, distance or restricted timings barriers?
- Staffing: Are trained coaches and physical education teachers available, and are they shared among institutions?
- Use of facilities: Are grounds used only during school hours, or are they also available at other suitable times?
Findings from my survey: ______
5. How facilities can be shared effectively
- Create a district-level schedule: Schools, clubs and community groups can reserve facilities at different times. Where suitable, school spaces can be used before or after school and during holidays, as suggested in the National Curriculum Framework 2005.
- Use a booking and priority system: A common booking register or online system can show available times, give fair access to different groups and prevent double-booking.
- Share equipment and expertise: Institutions can maintain an inventory and lend equipment through a responsible coordinator. Coaches and physical education teachers can conduct sessions at more than one nearby venue according to a planned timetable.
- Make access inclusive and affordable: Set aside regular times for girls, beginners, children with disabilities and community groups. Keep charges low or provide free sessions where possible.
- Protect and maintain facilities: Agree on rules for safe use, supervision, cleaning, repairs, storage and responsibility for damage. Keep emergency and first-aid arrangements in place.
- Include local and traditional games: Provide space and equipment for indigenous games as well as popular team sports, so more people can participate.
- Review the arrangement: Collect feedback from users and review the schedule, safety and condition of facilities regularly.
6. Conclusion
My district’s sports facilities can serve more people when institutions coordinate schedules, share equipment and coaching, and ensure safe, inclusive and well-maintained access. The survey also helps identify where new facilities or improvements are most needed.
