A text schematic is: amino-acid attachment site—3′ CCA; anticodon loop—3′ UAC 5′ (complementary and antiparallel to the mRNA codon 5′ AUG 3′). This initiator tRNA carries methionine and recognises AUG; each tRNA has a specific anticodon and carries its corresponding amino acid.
