The River Nile begins in East Africa, with Lake Victoria being one of its main sources, while its farthest source is the Kagera River in Rwanda. It flows northward through Uganda, South Sudan, Sudan, and Egypt before finally emptying into the Mediterranean Sea. It is widely regarded as one of the world’s longest rivers.
