Sufi Devotional Song

I selected the famous Sufi devotional song “Man Kunto Maula” for our cultural programme. Sufi music is an important part of the Sufi tradition. It expresses love, devotion and faith in God.

I collected information about the song and practised it with my classmates. We presented the song as a group in our school cultural programme. We used traditional musical instruments like the harmonium and dholak and also used clapping to create the atmosphere of Sufi music.

The performance was enjoyed by everyone. Through this activity, I learned about the rich tradition of Sufi music and understood how music can spread the message of love, peace, devotion and unity among people of different religions and communities.
